Since January 1st 2002, we have been producing annual
TV specials on the first day of the year. This show is designed to foster a
sense of hope, encourage and highlight enlightened and transformational
leadership, showcase and reward ordinary Nigerians doing extra ordinary things
and highlight our interventions for the year.
Thus as our tradition; Change-A-Life airs the January
1st SHOW at the first day of every year. Therefore, the January 1stshow 2010 was important as the first such show of the decade and Nigeria’s 50thyear.
It aired
on the NTA NETWORK and LTV8 live on 1st of January 2010 was anchored
by the Founder of the Foundation; TV Star and Media Entrepreneur Ms. Funmi Iyanda and
it featured the number one citizen of Lagos State; his Excellency Governor
Babatunde Raji Fashola and Nigeria’s international recording artist Asa. Some
of the highlights of the show included the Governor presenting awards to
ordinary citizens who have done extra-ordinary things (act of selfless
services). Also, awards were given to top three (3) existing beneficiaries
(students) on the scholarship scheme who distinguished themselves by excelling
academically and maintaining first class in their course of study.
