Change-A-Life and staff of MTN partner in Career Mentoring Programme
On May 17th2010, the
Change-A-Life Foundation as part of its ongoing commitment to
educating Nigerian children partnered with the Finance Department of MTN
Nigeria to provide career mentorship to over a hundred students of
Ansar-ud-Deen College, Isolo as part of MTN Nigeria's 21 days of Y'ello
Care.
Staff of MTN
Nigeria and Change-A-Life spent the day with over a hundred students of
Ansar-Ud-Deen College offering them career advice and support.
The College which
was founded by the Ansar-ud-Deen society in 1963 caters to orphaned
students
who have shown exceptional brilliance. These students are sponsored by
philanthropic corporate organizations and individuals such as
Change-A-Life and
MTN Nigeria.
Executive
Director of Change-A-Life, Mrs. Bridget Oyefeso-Odusami speaking at the
career
talk said: Education is the foundation of every society and
Change-A-Life
remains committed to supporting indigent hardworking and intelligent
students who
need that extra help.
Change-A-Life
was founded by Funmi Iyanda in 2002 to intervene in the lives of people
with
potential yet, great need. The Foundation has been awarding scholarships
to
brilliant but indigent children for over eight years and currently has
98
children on scholarship. Three students of Ansar-Ud-Deen are
beneficiaries of
the Change-A-Life educational scheme.
