The Change-A-Life foundation as part of its ongoing commitment to educating Nigerian children worked with seventeen final year English Students of Unilag to provide mentorship and English education to over 250 students of Whanyinna Nursery and Primary School, Makoko as part of the English Students community project outing for 2010 tagged Project 400L
Though a public holiday, these bubbly & energetic big sisters and brothers came armed with workbooks, writing, visual aids and study books to help educate their less privileged younger ones at theWhanyinna School. Their mission was to offer the children at Whanyinna proper reading, study and pronunciation support.
Executive Director of Change-A-Life, Mrs. Bridget Oyefeso-Odusami speaking at the outing said: Education is the foundation of every society and Change-A-Life remains committed to supporting indigent, hardworking and intelligent students who need that extra help. We at Change-A-Life are so proud of the sacrifice and the contributions made by these seventeen young students from the English Department of University of Lagos. They are indeed giving back to the community in their own little way
Change-A-Life was founded by Funmi Iyanda in 2002 to intervene in the lives of people with potential yet, great need. The Foundation has been awarding scholarships to brilliant but indigent children for over eight years and currently has 98 children on scholarships.
